PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
April brought on another successful month for NAIOP’s New York City Chapter. As the weather gets nicer I hope that more of our NAIOP members are encouraged to join us at the various events we have planned for the spring and summer months.
In early April NAIOP NYC members joined New York City Council Member Dan Garodnick, legislative author of the City’s first Green Energy Code, at the Breakfast Series event “Greening New York City,” held at the Haworth Showroom on Park Avenue. Our diverse panel held an enlightening and important discussion on sustainable construction and development, as well as the importance of green spaces and conservation in New York City.
NAIOP NYC is continuing to plan informative and interesting events and making headway in public affairs. If you have not done so already, please reserve your spot now at the "Building the Future of New York City" forum on May 10th, which will revolve around the future of infrastructure, innovations, community and change in the building environment of New York City. Held at 7 World Trade Center, our half-day panel will feature speakers across industries in New York City.
On May 15 join NAIOP New York City and the NAIOP Suburban New York/Connecticut Chapter as we host the 19th Annual Golf Outing at the Westchester Hills Golf Club. We’ve already sold all of our golfing tickets, but I hope you can join us for cocktails and dinner starting at 5:30 p.m. This event offers NAIOP NYC members and non-members the exclusive opportunity to spend time outdoors with other industry leaders from around the New York and Connecticut region.
Thank you again for your continued support of NAIOP NYC and its goals. I hope to see you at our upcoming events.
Best Regards,
Brian Robin
