ICA MEMBER THOMAS J. DONNELLY INC. CONTINUES INSULATION WORK AT STONY BROOK UNIVERSITY

ICA member contractor Thomas J. Donnelly Inc. continues its mechanical and plumbing insulation work at Stony Brook University, part of the State University of
New York system. Donnelly has repeatedly been contracted to perform insulation work at Stony Brook for the past 10 years, and is currently working on three separate projects for the school. The company is presently completing HVAC and plumbing insulation in a 600-bed resident dorm of the University, which began in September of 2009. They are slated to finish the work in the spring of 2010 for general contractors, J. Kokolakis Contracting, Inc.

ICA MEMBER BRUNO GRGAS WORKED ON NEW YORK CONSTRUCTION’S BEST OF 2009 PROJECT

New York Construction Magazine recently unveiled Yankee Stadium as the region’s Best Project of 2009.
Bruno Grgas Inc. provided insulation services for the new Yankee Stadium located in the Bronx, NY for Almar Plumbing & Heating’s plumbing pipework. During the course of construction, the 1.3 million square foot stadium required 35.5 miles of plumbing and HVAC piping to be insulated, spanning all four levels of the stadium. Bruno Grgas Inc. insulated the domestic cold water, hot water, hot water return, gray water, irrigation water and horizontal storm water piping systems throughout the base building. They also insulated all domestic cold water, hot water, hot water return and sanitary drain lines for concession stands in the stadium. Bruno Grgas Inc. also provided the fire-stopping for all wall & floor pipe penetrations of newly insulated pipework.
